You can reach up to Chandigarh from Ujjain by flight. From Chandigarh there are two routes for Lahaul Spiti valley one is from Shimla side and one is from Manali side. We strongly suggest for Shimla side route. In Shimla route proper acclimatized, not required Rohtang pass permit and less Kullu nearby traffic benifits.
Lahaul Spiti valley is accessible throughout the year from Ujjain by Shimla side. However From June to October you can cover Manali Rohtang pass also from Kaza means complete circuit can cover.
